Release date: August 16, 2024
Featured artists: Dead Rabbitts featuring Fronzilla (Chris Fronzak of Attila)
Appears on: Redefined by Dead Rabbitts
Dead Rabbitts vocalist Craig Mabbitt described the song as an expression of holding in life’s problems until the weight becomes suffocating, then finding the inner strength to push through. About Attila
Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2005, Attila developed a combustible sound that pulls from metalcore, deathcore, hardcore, rap metal and nu metal. Led by vocalist and entrepreneur Chris “Fronz” Fronzak, the group became known for a self-described “party death metal” identity: crushing breakdowns, rapid-fire vocal delivery, swagger-heavy hooks and deliberately provocative lyrics.
Attila’s catalog includes the breakthrough 2013 album About That Life, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums and Independent Albums charts, as well as releases including Chaos and Villain. Their high-energy live shows and genre-blurring approach have built a dedicated worldwide following across metalcore, deathcore and alternative heavy music.
Dead Rabbitts, Fronzilla and the history behind “Oxygen”
“Oxygen” brings together two distinctive voices from the modern metalcore scene: Craig Mabbitt’s melodic intensity and Fronz’s defiant, rhythm-driven delivery. Dead Rabbitts selected the Attila frontman because his uncompromising energy fit the song’s message of confronting the pressure people hide behind a brave face.
Released as a single on August 16, 2024, the collaboration later appeared on Dead Rabbitts’ album Redefined, released March 14, 2025 through Judge & Jury. The track’s official music video places Fronz directly inside Dead Rabbitts’ dark, urgent visual world and captures the collision between the two artists’ styles.
