About Escape the Fate

Escape the Fate is a Las Vegas rock band formed in 2004. The group became a defining name in modern post-hardcore and alternative rock through theatrical performances, heavy guitar work and large melodic choruses.

Craig Mabbitt has fronted Escape the Fate since 2008, leading releases including This War Is Ours, Escape the Fate, Ungrateful, Hate Me, I Am Human, Chemical Warfare and Out of the Shadows.

Escape the Fate's musical style blends post-hardcore, metalcore, hard rock, emo and alternative metal. Crushing riffs and urgent breakdowns sit alongside polished hooks, dramatic dynamics and Mabbitt's ability to shift between clean singing and harsher vocals.

The history behind “Black Mold”

“Black Mold” turns the feeling of being dealt a bad hand—and living as the black sheep—into an anthem about changing course and winning an internal war. Silos vocalist Ray Garrison had admired Mabbitt for years, making the collaboration a natural meeting of Silos' genre-blurring heaviness and Escape the Fate's melodic post-hardcore edge.

The track was written by Ray Garrison and Kevin Hissink and produced by Howard Benson, Neil Sanderson, Ray Garrison, Mike Plotnikoff and Kevin Hissink. Craig Mabbitt contributes featured vocals.

The history behind “Happy When We're Bleeding”

“Happy When We're Bleeding” confronts the desensitization created by endless social-media feeds and their constant stream of graphic, extreme content. Thrower's hook-driven rock and Mabbitt's cutting vocal presence collide in a volatile modern-rock track.

The song was written by Isaac Thrower and Blair Daly and produced by Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson. Isaac Thrower and Craig Mabbitt share vocal duties.
