Wednesday 13 on Dead Rabbitts’ “Hellscape”

Horror-punk icon Wednesday 13 joins Judge & Jury artist Dead Rabbitts and Mixi Demner of Stitched Up Heart on “Hellscape”, a dark, high-impact collaboration that connects Dead Rabbitts’ modern metalcore sound with Wednesday 13’s unmistakable horror-rock theatricality.

Released by Judge & Jury Records on February 14, 2025, “Hellscape” features vocals from Craig Mabbitt, Joseph Poole—better known as Wednesday 13—and Mixi Demner. The song appears on the Dead Rabbitts album Redefined, released March 14, 2025.

About Wednesday 13

Wednesday 13 is the horror-punk and heavy-metal persona of North Carolina singer, songwriter and guitarist Joseph Poole. He first developed his cult following with Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13 before reaching an international audience as the frontman of Murderdolls alongside Joey Jordison. Since launching the Wednesday 13 solo project, he has built a catalog defined by macabre storytelling, black humor, B-movie imagery and explosive live performances.

His musical style blends horror punk, gothic metal, glam metal, sleaze rock and hard rock, combining punk aggression and heavy riffs with huge, theatrical choruses. His tenth studio album, Mid Death Crisis, was released April 25, 2025 via Napalm Records and brought his punk, glam and hard-rock roots back to the foreground.

The history behind the collaboration

Wednesday 13, Dead Rabbitts and Stitched Up Heart shared more than a studio track in 2025. Dead Rabbitts and Stitched Up Heart supported Wednesday 13 on the North American There’s No Such Things as Monsters headline tour, which ran from March 14 through May 3. That shared touring chapter gave “Hellscape” a natural crossover between three distinct heavy-music worlds: Dead Rabbitts’ emotionally charged metalcore, Stitched Up Heart’s melodic hard rock and Wednesday 13’s theatrical horror punk.

Lyrically, “Hellscape” is about recognizing personal responsibility when life feels out of control. Its central idea is that accepting your role in creating your own hellscape can become the first step toward recovery, change and rebirth.
